Hydrangea quercifolia

Native Range: North America

Rather than blooming brilliantly and briefly, oakleaf hydrangea flowers change with the seasons, providing visual interest for many months. They start white, age to pink, and in the fall, dry to a rusty-brown color that is paired with its bronzed autumnal foliage. These now-dried flower-heads can last well into the winter, depending on the conditions. The hydrangea is native to the southeastern and southern United States.
